Title/Concept Brainstorm

Post  Mallory on Wed Nov 26, 2008 10:32 pm

I've brainstormed some ideas going off of the concept that we've all tended to be most confident about;
"We're on the edge of the new and still going."

Though I'm not 100% satisfied with what I've dug up, the below is a bit of information that I found interesting.
I've colour coded things to hopefully help understand it a bit.

Comments and ideas are always welcome!

Ok so I've been looking up different definitions for verge and one that i found most interesting was:
"the point at which something happens" and "a very curious sense development".

As for the other findings below....
I'm not crazy about the word LIMEN, but I do like the idea of "the smallest detectable sensation". It kind of calls out to the fact that everything around us is such a sensory explosion all of the time, and does this stimulus overload make us oblivious to the smallest changes of stimulation? Are we losing this ability?

Stimulus

1. Something causing or regarded as causing a response.
2. An agent, action, or condition that elicits or accelerates a physiological or psychological activity or response.
3. Something that incites or rouses to action; an incentive
Synonyms: incentive, spur, goad, inducement, impetus, encouragement, enticement, prod

Some words that really stood out to me and that I want to keep going with are: brink, dawn, and horizon...
