DISCUSSIONS
Interface
• Engaging the audience members before entering the show
• Visualization of a conversation, need an audience for something to happen
• Slick 08’ – Similar to Nuit Blanche, multiple locations
• How will our parents interact with the artwork?
• Create an Avatar to show how to interact with the art works
• Look at Expo 67’
• ‘Funky Forest’ (runs off of 4 infrared cameras) - directed towards children. The people give life to the space and the interaction is necessary for the piece to continue

• Mallory – A test to get into the gallery. A training tool for the show to prepare the audience for ways they might interact with the artwork
• Spark a relationship with the audience. A way to get people to visit, publicity.
• How would the artists like the interface to interact with their own work?
• Creating a puzzle for the audience member to find the works
• Have the artists walk away from the piece so the audience doesn’t feel watched
• Have balloons that have information about the artwork having from the ceiling
• Creating a sense of play accounting for and taking care of the people that do not know how to interact with the artwork (parents)
• Have descriptions appear when the audience member interacts with it. Like a projection that you need to stand in front of to read
Space & Venue
